Market sentiment outlook

See how the crowd is positioned — the share of traders currently long versus short on each major pair, updated live.

Sentiment shows you what other traders are actually doing right now: for each pair, the percentage of open positions that are long versus short. It is a window into crowd positioning that price charts alone do not give you.

Many experienced traders read retail sentiment as a contrarian signal. When an overwhelming majority is long a pair, much of the buying demand may already be spent — which is why extreme readings often precede reversals. It is a context tool, not a trade trigger on its own.

How to read it

  • The bar splits each pair into the percentage of traders long (typically buyers) and short (sellers).
  • Extremes matter most: 80%+ on one side is a crowded trade. Balanced readings near 50/50 carry little signal.
  • Contrarian view: a heavily long crowd is potential selling pressure ahead, and vice-versa — but always confirm with price and the calendar.
  • On smaller screens you get the compact view; on desktop the advanced breakdown loads automatically.

How to use it with ForecastingStocks

  • Cross-check the AI direction in the app against the crowd. Agreement adds confidence; a sharp disagreement is worth understanding before you act.
  • Watch extremes on pairs you follow as an early warning for crowded, reversal-prone trades.
  • Combine with the economic calendar: crowded positioning into a high-impact release can amplify the move when the surprise lands.
